4th Period Spanish
We will be using the Prentice Hall Realidades text book, however the text will be supplemented with partner activities, videos, projects, and language games in order to get students to hear and use Spanish in context. My goal is to create a fun and relaxed learning environment where students are comfortable taking risks and making mistakes which are both keys to learning a language. We will practice reading, writing, speaking, and listening to Spanish so the students have a deeper understanding of the vocabulary and grammar.
Grading:
Student progress is assessed daily with informal teacher-led or self-led evaluations. Students will also be graded on participation in and completion of projects, as well as with quizzes and exams. All grades are point based with exams, quizzes, and projects worth the most followed by classwork and participation.
Homework:
Most work is done in class, however, students who do not spend their class time wisely, may need to complete assignments at home.
Students will work on group projects in class and will have sufficient time to coordinate with group members if any work is required outside of class.
